You may think I am obsessed with the new iPhone 6s or that I am an Apple fangirl with all the iPhone 6s articles I am posting of late. I actually am ambivalent to the new generation phone (except, I admit the rose gold is pretty cool). I picked up my 6+ earlier this year and still have 18 months to pay the dang thing off, so I’ll wait for the iPhone 7. But since lots of people just picked up the 6s, there have been quite a few people testing out the new capabilities – like 4k and the 12-megapixel iSight camera.
I didn’t jump on the iPhone train until generation 3, and it was so far above my previous flip phone that every feature on it was magic. But how does the iPhone camera technology compare to its predecessors? Each year, landscape and travel photographer and co-founder of numerous apps, including the Camera + app, Lisa Bettany, compares the newest offering from Apple with the previous ones to see the evolution and improvements of the current model. For this newest comparison, Lisa compares the original iPhone with the iPhone 3G, iPhone 3Gs, iPhone 4, iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, and the new iPhone 6s.
