Most people like to travel light. They may carry only one body and a few smaller, lighter lenses – just enough to get the job done. Not Paul Reiffer. This British photographer carries about 26lbs of equipment with him while he jet sets around the globe.
At any given time, Paul could be found dangling from a helicopter, scaling mountains, deep in the pit of a concert or teetering from a ledge of a crumbly building in Shanghai. Anything to get the perfect image. For the last three years, Paul has traveled the world photographing the most famous cities building an impressive portfolio of landscapes, cityscapes, commercial and advertising photography. His dazzling light trails, illuminated reflections and breathtaking imagery have earned him recognition amongst numerous organizations worldwide, recognizable brands and sponsorships from companies we could only dream about.

Perhaps Paul’s understanding of what make a dynamic photograph comes partly because he has had much experience in front of the lens as well. Starting his career as a successful model, he worked with some very talented photographers all over the world and was able to ask questions, receive critique and glean as much knowledge as he wanted from them.
In those 26lbs of gear that Paul carries, you’ll find a list of eclectic gear he uses to get the job done. A sole Canon shooter until 2013, Paul has also adopted the iQ280 for its 80 megapixel image quality that is evident in the minutiae of each photograph. His kit is pretty well rounded including the following cameras:
Phase One 645DF+ Medium Format
Phase One iQ280 Digital Back 80MP
Canon EOS 1D X 18MP
Canon EOS 5D Mark III 23MP
Canon EOS M APS-C 18MP
Nikon 1 v3
